The Red Cliff Reservation is governed by an elected nine member Tribal Council. The role and responsibilities of the Tribal Council have expanded considerably since the passing of the Self-Determination and Educational Assistance Act of 1975. The Tribe currently administers approximately 40 programs, grants and contracts, and employs about 120 people.
