Howard D. Paap is a retired anthropology professor who taught at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin; the University of Wisconsin-Superior; and Century College in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. He currently lives in White Bear Lake.

When Howard Paap married an Ojibwe woman over 40 years ago, he gained entry to a Native American world seldom entered by Caucasians.
