Red Cliff Receives American Rescue Plan Fund Allocation

June 11, 2020

The Red Cliff Tribal Council announces the Tribe has received an initial allocation of funding through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021 signed into effect by President Biden on March 11, 2021. This funding will be used to respond to our community’s needs related to the health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds must be spent on eligible activities as determined by the ARP legislation.

Tribal Administration and Council are meeting weekly to discuss community needs and priority issues to decide how the funds will be allocated. Tribal Council is beginning to develop a preliminary list of priority categories to address the ongoing needs of the community, including but not limited to:

  • Culture
  • Membership
  • Elders, Youth, Families
  • Housing
  • Community
  • Education
  • Economic Development
  • Land
  • Infrastructure
  • Health Services

It is Council’s goal to gather as much information from the community as possible to make informed, impactful, and sustainable decisions.

A community input survey will be released soon to gather feedback, in addition to community listening sessions that will be offered virtually and in-person with safety measures followed. Community members are encouraged to use the tribal webpage, www.redcliff-nsn.gov/arp, to stay up to date with Council action and outreach efforts.
