“To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, responsible and productive citizens.”

Our Native Vision
"To offer opportunities to provide Native youth with ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, a safe place to learn and grow, life-enhancing programs, character development experiences and, most of all, hope and opportunity. Clubs promote positive youth growth and development along critical cultural, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical dimensions.”

Who We Are
The Boys and Girls Club of Gitchigami seeks to inspire and enable all local youth to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Our Club serves members aged 8-18 after school and during the summer. We serve the surrounding communities.

Based on the interests and needs of the youth we serve, our committed staff and volunteers plan daily activities under five core areas of programming:

Health & Life Skills
Character & Leadership
The Arts
Sports, Recreation & Fitness
Education & Career

Our programs are based on a youth development strategy that builds self-confidence and self-esteem as well as fosters a sense of cultural identity, belonging, competence, usefulness, and influence.

The Boys and Girls Club of Gitchigami is a safe, positive, and productive place for youth to develop attitudes and skills that enable them to succeed in life - all while having fun!
